The Peugeot 404 is an automobile of the French car manufacturer Peugeot, produced from May 10, 1960. In May 1962, it was the first French production sedan (like the first coupe / convertible) equipped with an injection engine.
The 404 was withdrawn from the French catalog in October 1975, with the exception of the van which was marketed in France until 1979. Production continued for several years abroad: the last 404 were assembled utility vehicles. in 19891 at the Mombassa plant (Kenya).
