Ford Vedette gear lever retaining or repair ring -
This part fits around the gearshift lever. Its purpose is to protect the bowl that receives the lever base from breakage. Over time, the metal (Zamac) weakens and breaks. This ring also serves to repair the bowl when it begins to break.
